Here’s a case study of some of the work that I’ve done for Pickett’s
Pickett’s Ginger Beer Syrup / Pickett Brothers Beverage
Pickett’s Ginger Beer and Pickett Bros. Beverage launched at the same time in early 2012 to promote a line of concentrated Ginger Beer syrups, which when mixed with soda water (or Soda Stream carbonated water) yields an intensely ginger-flavored and spicy soft drink that is used both as a flavorful soda, but more frequently as a tasty mixer for great cocktails.
The surname of the 3 Midwestern-born brothers (founders) became the centerpiece of the logo, labels and all other branding components. I collaborated closely with them to develop a logo that would convey classic “Americana” and the home-style taste of their products. We also integrated a “GB” in the labeling to be an easy way to identify Ginger Beer as well as pay homage to UK auto badges
The labels are color-coded to show the 3 degrees of spiciness that Pickett’s offers.
I then helped developed collateral materials such as business cards, e-commerce site, ad banners and other point of sale. PickettsGingerBeer.com
G-spot is excited to be returning to the Fountain Art Fair for the 4th time!
This year we will be showing 4 talented Greenpoint-based artists, Francis Christie, Michael Hambouz, Aaron Friedman and Chris Smith.
In addition to showing their works on the wall, they will be working together on live collaborative pieces over the course of the weekend.
Fountain is a great alternative to the big art fairs happening during Armory week. Featuring smaller independent galleries and emerging artists, many from Brooklyn.
There will be over 80 exhibitors and many performances over the course of the weekend. Please check the Fountain website to see the whole schedule.

These pieces have gone through a lot of changes. I had started them a year ago but wasn’t happy with the colors, so I just kept adding layers, and I love how they turned out.

WaxRax is a new company based in Brooklyn that makes upscale hand built record storage units.
I designed their logo and all of their promotional items including sell sheets, postcards and trade show booth materials.
Scott Chasse from the Calico Gallery invited me to do an installation at the Brooklyn Night Bazaar. The location is the passageway between the main room and the beer tent.
I took an empty hallway and transformed it with some of my streetshadows. It turns out that the space is a great place for people to hang out and get break from the crowds by the stage and the food areas.
The Night Bazaar is located at 165 Banker st. @Norman in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Hours are from 7pm 1pm on Friday and Saturdays
Fanning the Flames at Brooklyn Fireproof
Hope you all had a great Holiday season and made it through to the other side of the Polar Vortex.
2014 is off to a great start, Mitchell King and Michael Hambouz have organized a new group art exhibition, “Fanning The Flames”, and have put together a rockin’ party for the opening night, featuring bands comprised of exhibiting artists.
This will be a blown-out night of rock and roll along with the visual work of 17 clever artists working in a broad and exciting range of mediums.
I’ll be showing some brand new streetshadow pieces and the show will only be up for a day or two, so this party will be your best chance to see it and to meet with the artists.
